Job description

Our client school in Chorley are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support the needs of their students aged 4-16.

The pupils have a range of needs in including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech Language Communication Needs (SLCN).

You must have experience in SEN to be considered, however, this doesn't have to come from an education-based background. We welcome those with experience in Support Work, Residential Care, Care work, Youth work or providing support for family members / friends.

You must be willing to assist with personal care, including feeding, toileting and changing. This is a non-negotiable aspect of the role.

The role is to start in September.

The working hours will be 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. 

Having worked closely with this school for a number of years, Teaching Personnel are sometimes asked to assist with their permanent recruitment and you may therefore be eligible for a long-term / permanent role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
