Behaviour Support Worker/Assistant BD5

Start – ASAP

Contract – Supply – temp to perm options

On behalf of our work force partner in BD8, we are searching for 2-3 BEHAVIOUR SUPORT ASSISTANTS. Do you have previous behaviour assistant experience working with teenagers, or children who sometimes display challenging behaviours? Do you have experience supporting behaviour within a Secondary School? We are looking for confident behaviour support assistants to work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis during the school day.

The job title has many names and is often called Behaviour Support Worker, Behaviour Support Assistant, Specialist Learning Assistant, Behaviour Mentor and Behaviour Buddy

Working as a Behaviour Support Assistant within this mixed comprehensive secondary school in Bradford BD8, you will be supporting students with additional learning needs, and challenging behaviour across KS3 and KS4.

This position is initially being offered on a full-time temporary basis, with longer term prospects for the appointed Behaviour Support Assistants. You will be fully supported by the school SENCO/Pastoral team within this position and will work directly on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who portray challenging behaviour.

Both experienced behaviour support assistants, and university graduates (Cover Supervisors) who have worked within secondary school settings are welcome to apply for this position.

All candidates will need a CHILD ONLY DBS on the UPDATE SERVICE – if you already have one – great! If not, we can help you with the application process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
