Teaching Assistant - SEN Base Support
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Mainstream Primary School in North Liverpool, Aintree, who are searching for numerous experienced Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with Special Education Needs (SEN) in either Early Years, KS1 and KS2 full time from November 2021. Some children are non-verbal so the ideal Teaching Assistant will have some experience or training working with children or adults with non-verbal needs or speech and language impairments. A lot of the pupils also have autism and ADHD and some behavioural management needs.
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar position and will be able to hit the ground running
You will be working with the pupils during class times, break times and also 1-1 to run interventions and booster sessions. A lot of your working day will be spent ensuring the pupils are as focused as possible at all times, and supporting their emotional wellbeing.
The base has numerous teachers and TA's who will assist you each day and there is a strong sense of community within the school
The Role:
- Full time, Monday - Friday
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:10pm
- £10 - £11 Per hour

The tasks which a SEN TA carries out can include:
- Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
- Assessing the individual learning needs of pupils
- Evaluating and reporting pupils’ progress to teachers, carers, healthcare professionals and anybody else who helps them
- Positively managing challenging behaviour and dealing with difficult situations
- Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the pupils
- Supervising activities such as trips locally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
