SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in Liverpool, L36, Huyton, who are currently searching for a full time 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 5 pupil with complex and behavioural needs.

The pupil is in Year 5 and has diagnosed autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory and complex needs. 

The school are ideally looking for someone who is resilient, experienced working with extreme cases of challenging behaviour and has the ability to remain calm and implement their own behaviour strategies to deal with de-escalating outbursts. 

The role:

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Full time, Mon - Fri
• GBP10 - GBP11 per hour
• 1-1 SEN Support
• Year 5
• Term time only 
• Huyton, L36

The ideal SEN Support Assistant:

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Knowledge of the primary or KS1 curriculum
• Friendly, empathetic and motivating
• Attentive to needs of pupils
• Strong regard for pupil safety-and well being
• Caring, patient, and understanding
• Motivating with ability to engage pupils
• Good ability to manage behaviour
• Reliable and committed fully to each lesson assisted

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
