SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description 

I am currently working with an excellent school in the Derby city centre area that is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to start January 2020 and be available to trial within the next two weeks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children or in a care setting. The role requires working with children with various SEN needs both 1:1 and in small groups. The role:

• Working with student with special education needs of various severity 
• Assisting in the delivery of lessons 
• 1:1 and small group interventions 
• Ages 2-11
• Hours: 8:30-15:30

Requirements: 

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience or Care experience desirable 
• Experience working with ASC, MLD, SLD or physical disabilities
• Resilient, enthusiastic and nurturing personality 
• Taking initiative 
• Be able to travel or live the central Derbyshire area
