ASC Support for Year 2 Pupil
A mainstream Primary School in L10, Fazakerley, are currently searching for an experienced SEN Support Assistant to work 1-1 with a young boy in Year 2 with diagnosed ASC (autism). The pupil needs support with his daily learning, emotional wellbeing and also displays challenging behaviour
Ideally you will have experience working with children with autism and be confident with your behaviour management. The role is set to start after the October half term (November 2nd) for the remainder of the academic year (July 2021).
This is a full time position, Monday - Friday
GBP10 - GBP11 Per Hour Earnings
The tasks which an Early Years TA carries out can include:
- Working within a Year 2 Class
- Supporting a pupil 1-1 and during lessons
- Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
- Assessing the individual learning needs of pupils
- Positively managing challenging behaviour and dealing with difficult situations
- Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the pupils
- Supervising activities such as trips locally.
This is an Ofsted graded 'Good' primary school
School leaders have ensured that all safeguarding arrangements are fit for purpose. Central to the school’s vigilant safeguarding culture is the way in which staff use their detailed knowledge of the pupils in order to keep them safe. School leaders understand that persistent pupil absence is a safeguarding concern and act quickly when attendance is low. Record-keeping is up to date and systematic. Staff and governors are well trained in all areas of risk to pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
