SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants for a client school in Stockport. The school provide Education for young people with additional needs ranging from the age of 2 to 25.

Information about the School:

• Caters for young people and adults with complex learning disabilities  and additional communication needs
• Most of the pupils here have no or little language ability
• Ages of pupils can range from 2 years to 25 years
• Needs can include SLD, PMLD, ASC, Personal Care, ASC as well as challenging behaviours
• School is ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted)

Information about the candidate:

• Require someone who can keep up with a physically demanding roles e.g. pushing wheelchairs, support pupils within the swimming pool 
• Personal care is involved in all roles
• Ability to deal with challenging behaviours (physical and verbal)
• Patient and Passionate about providing a safe and supportive environment
