SEN Teaching Assistant

A client school in the Longsight area of Manchester (M13) are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to support a handful of children, in different year groups, across their larger than average, 2 form entry primary school. This 'equal opportunities' primary school prides itself on 'creating an exciting learning environment for all children' and are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to encourage learning and offer continual support for children through out the school.

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with children across KS1 and KS2 who need additional assistant in specified areas. The children have a variety of needs and work from specific IEPs. The successful candidate will receive continual support from the schools dedicated teaching staff and the schools SENCO. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting children with specific needs. Additional training will be offered where necessary.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant post, you will:

  • Have experience working with children with specified needs
  • Have experience working with children in an educational establishment
  • be comfortable supporting children with varying needs across different year groups

It is essential that applicants have experience working with specific SEN. The school are looking to appoint for this positon ASAP with a view to the role starting on a FULL TIME basis in September.
