SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

A co-educational secondary school that is located in the Stretford area of south Manchester is looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant from January. Working with the school’s SENCO, the SEN Teaching Assistant will be based in both mainstream classes and in the school’s internal resource centre. Whilst working in classes, the SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting identified students who have additional needs. This will include assisting a small group of approximately 3 students who have Autism, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties. The majority of support will take within the core subjects of Maths and English at the lower KS3 level. Working within the school’s internal resource centre will find the SEN Teaching Assistant supporting the lead teacher with the teaching of a variety of subject material.
