Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

School Location: Hull

Year Groups: Year 1 – Year 6 (EYFS - KS2)

Daily Rate: GBP57 - 70

Start Date: September 2019

Contract: Part time and full time positions available

As a Teaching Assistant in York you will be offered day-to-day, short-term and long-term positions. You are able to gain experience with your desired age group/key stage and by building your experience, you will enhance permanent employment opportunities.

We have an SEN school in York looking for Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants to start after the summer holidays. As a TA/LSA you will be required to work 1:1 or on a group basis with pupils with special educational needs, you will confidently and patiently adapt to each students needs. You may support students with:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Sensory impairments
  • MLD, SLD or PMLD
  • SEMH difficulties
  • Physical disabilities

You will possess the needed qualifications and it is desirable to hold experience working as a Teaching Assistant or have experience managing special educational needs within a different setting. Successful candidates must be vetted with a ‘Child Only’ DBS check which must be registered on the update service (assistance will be provided by Teaching personnel).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This will be a temporary position and may go permanent at a later date.
