Position Available: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Winchester, Secondary SEN School
Age Group: Children 11-16 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (after probation period)

About the School: Our partner school, located in Winchester, provides exceptional education and support to children aged 11-16 with Severe Learning Difficulties. The school is committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment, fostering the development of each student.

Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Severe Learning Difficulties in their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher, providing one-on-one support, and contributing to the overall positive learning atmosphere within the school.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or transferable skills from related sectors such as care or support work.
  • Availability: Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.
  • Passion: Genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their educational development.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other support professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
