Location: Weston-super-Mare
Key Stages: 1 – 4
Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Daily Rate: £89 – £100

We are welcoming applications for Unqualified Postgraduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in both mainstream and specialist schools across Weston-super-Mare.

Role Overview

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by school)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Progression: Opportunities for permanent roles available


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group SEN support
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff
  • Assist with personalised learning activities
  • Support pupils in line with EHCPs
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills ️
  • SEN or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Background in education, care, or sports coaching (preferred)
  • A flexible, proactive, and resilient attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
