Sen Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school team on a full-time basis.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.

• Assist pupils with their learning, development and social skills.

• Support children to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.

• Help implement individual learning and support plans.

• Work closely with teachers, SENCO and other members of staff.

• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to engage in school life.

• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.

• Is patient, compassionate and understanding.

• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Can build positive relationships with pupils.

• Is proactive, reliable and enthusiastic.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Previous experience in an SEN setting is desirable, but we welcome applications from individuals who have the right skills, attitude and passion for supporting children.
