SEN Teaching Assistant – Warrington
Full-Time | September Start
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join one of our welcoming partner schools in the Warrington area on a full‑time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing, inclusive school environment.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN professionals to deliver tailored support to pupils who require additional assistance. The role is varied and rewarding, involving 1:1 support, small‑group interventions, and in‑class assistance, ensuring every pupil can access learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support based on work set by the class teacher
- Assisting with catch‑up interventions in English, Maths, and Science
- Supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
- Helping to manage challenging behaviour while promoting positive learning routines
- Acting as a positive role model and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Following safeguarding policies and reporting concerns appropriately
Candidate Requirements
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Transferable experience supporting others (education, care, support work, mentoring, youth work, etc.)
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Two recent references, including one from your most recent employer

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
