The role:
As a SEN Teaching assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, mainly autism, ADHD.
- Work 1:1 with students who require additional support.
- Demonstrating a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting SEN students.
- Reflecting on and improving your practice through self-evaluation and CPD.
Candidate specification:
- Experience working with children with SEN, in a school or similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
All applicants must be willing to undergo vetting checks as part of the school’s commitment to Safeguarding and Anti-bullying. This will include:
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
- Two recent references (covering the past 24 months)
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 3+ months in the past 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
