Teaching Personnel hire Teaching Assistants for Primary schools across South Northants.

When working with Early years and primary age children, it's necessary to have a nurturing and patient personality to help the children develop to meet their full potential at school, and become more independent socially and emotionally.

The general role will mainly include acting as a support to the teacher within the classroom, monitoring and controlling student behaviour and helping them to be involved and engaged in their classroom activities. Early years Teaching Assistants can expect to assist the children in a number of holistic and sensory activities to aid their development. You may also be required to take part in break and lunchtime monitoring where necessary.

The work is mainly on a supply basis and can include day-to-day, week-by-week, or sick/maternity cover but can also offer long term cover and full time opportunities. If you are looking to work reduced hours or on a part time basis, Teaching Assistant hours are around 6 hours per day, between 8.30am - 3.30pm (school hours).
