Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
School: SEN School - Two sites catering to primary (5-11) and secondary (11-16) aged children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a reputable SEN School in Totton. As a crucial member of our educational community, you will provide specialised support to primary and secondary aged students with PMLD. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm, with the opportunity for a permanent contract after a probation period.
Responsibilities:
- Offer one-on-one and group support to students with PMLD.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Foster the well-being and development of students with special needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a special educational needs setting or working with children with PMLD.
- Relevant qualifications in education, health, or social care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with special needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
