Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
School: SEN School for PMLD and SLD (Primary and Secondary sites)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm
Contract: Permanent School Contract

About Us: Teaching Personnel, a leading education agency, is recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for an exceptional SEN School in Totton. The school focuses on providing specialised education for children aged 5-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). With separate Primary and Secondary sites, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students with diverse learning needs.

Role Overview:

  • Support Role: Assist in the support and development of students with PMLD and SLD.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Inclusive Environment: Contribute to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Daily Activities: Support students in their daily activities, ensuring their well-being and educational progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (SEN) are desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for working with children with PMLD and SLD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
