Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
School: SEN School for children aged 5-19 with PMLD and SLD
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm
Contract: Permanent School Contract

About the School: Teaching Personnel is working with a reputable SEN School in Totton, catering to children aged 5-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The school operates across two sites, one dedicated to Primary and the other to Secondary education. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fantastic school committed to providing quality education and support to its students.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with PMLD and SLD in both Primary and Secondary settings.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with daily activities, ensuring their well-being and progress.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere within the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (SEN) are desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with children with PMLD and SLD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
