Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Tamworth

Contract: Full-time, starting in January (temporary-to-permanent contract)

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with SEN / SEMH / SEND
  • Passion for education
  • Prior experience working with young individuals
  • Current and clear DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Openness to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Positive "can-do" attitude
  • Adaptability and versatility
  • Eagerness to support vulnerable and young individuals

Monthly Salary: £1200-1500 GBP

 

About the Role: Teaching Personnel is in collaboration with a specialized school in Tamworth, seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants. The school supports students aged 11 to 19, all with Education, Health, and Care Plans, and varying learning difficulties. These students have a diverse range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. The school's flexible curriculum places a strong emphasis on creativity, allowing students to gain essential experiences for their education.

The school is well-equipped with facilities such as a sports hall, a fully equipped kitchen, engineering classrooms, an art workshop, and a school shop, accessible to students daily. Successful candidates may also engage in one-on-one or small group therapeutic interventions. Immediate start dates are available for the positions we have open.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
