Specialist Teaching Assistants/Support Workers Needed – SEN School, Tadworth

We are currently recruiting for four Specialist Teaching Assistant positions at a dedicated SEN school in Tadworth that supports children and young people aged 2–19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), brain trauma, and brain tumours.

About the School

This specialist setting provides exceptional support for pupils with highly complex physical, medical, and learning needs. Students are taught in very small class groups with outstanding staff-to-pupil ratios, including some classes operating with 3:1 support.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a nurturing and supportive environment where every child receives personalised care and attention.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working in personal care, PMLD or complex SEN settings
Be confident supporting pupils with profound physical and learning difficulties
Be willing to provide personal care across all age groups
Feel comfortable assisting with clinical, medical, and physical personal support needs e.g. hoisting
Ideally have prior classroom-based experience
Be patient, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children with complex needs


Role Details

Working hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
48-week contract (all year round not just term-time only)
Immediate start available
Based in Tadworth

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
