Job description

We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN secondary school in the Stockport area. This rewarding role involves supporting students with a range of challenges including Autism, ADHD, Anxiety based school avoidance, learning disabilities and communication struggles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, personalised learning experiences
  • Provide 1:1 support to students, focusing on academic progress, emotional regulation, and communication
  • Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages growth and positive relationships
  • Create and adapt resources to support inspiring and inclusive lessons
  • Collaborate with the wider staff team to ensure the wellbeing and welfare of all students

You’re a Great Fit If You Have:

  • Experience working with young people in education or care settings
  • A calm and supportive approach to help with de-escalation and emotional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Requirements:

✅ Two years of employment references
✅ Up-to-date Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce)
✅ Completion of Safeguarding Training (can be provided)
✅ Valid documentation proving Right to Work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
