Job Vacancy: Primary Supply SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield, S6
Start Date: Ongoing (flexible start)
Contract Type: Supply (Day-to-Day & Short-Term/ Long-Term Cover)
Pay Rate: £89.38–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable teaching assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We’re currently recruiting reliable and passionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Sheffield S6 area. This flexible role is perfect for those who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different classroom settings.
Role Overview:

Provide in-class or 1:1 support to pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties).

Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to create a supportive learning environment.

Follow individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.

Be ready to step into different schools and adapt quickly to varying routines and pupil needs.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN.
-
Flexible, proactive, and confident working in new environments.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).

A teaching assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
