SEN Teaching Assistant – HUB Provision

Sheffield
Through Teaching Personnel
Full-time / Part-time opportunities available

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Sheffield to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a HUB provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured, nurturing environment.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in the HUB, you will:

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs)

  • Work with individuals and small groups to support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation

  • Assist the class teacher and wider SEN team in delivering tailored interventions

  • Help create a safe, calm, and positive learning environment

  • Support pupils with personal development, independence, and social skills

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or alternative settings desirable)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning

  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, care, or SEN are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
