Teaching Personnel's Sheffield North Primary branch are currently seeking to recruit a number of full time Teaching Assistants to support SEN students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
The responsibility of the SEN Teaching Assistant will be to support the Class Teacher but to also support students with 1:1 and small group intervention in order to bridge gaps in learning. The ideal candidate will have an existing understanding of how to support those with additional needs, alongside practical knowledge and skills.

Pay: £80 - £90
The Role:
- To facilitate the physical and emotional development of children attending the school, whilst supporting in an academic capacity
- To monitor pupils progress and achievements on an individual basis – Writing up reports and passing these on to the designated supervisor
- To promote independent learning through reinforcement of positive behaviours through praise and encouragement
- To establish good working relationships with pupils – Working 1-2-1 with students to scaffold learning, as appropriate
- To assist the teacher in setting up learning activities in the classroom and engaging with these to facilitate pupil engagement during lessons
- Develop a good understanding of pupil’s needs in order to support effectively through individualised interventions
- Preparation of resources of lessons and activities
Requirements:
- GCSE English/Maths at grade A-C (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in the Education or Care Sector
Working for Teaching Personnel:
- Teaching Personnel work exclusively with a number of schools and multi-academy trusts across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, and Doncaster

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
