Job description

We are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistants to support our client school in Salford.

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students who need that extra assistance and guidance to achieve their best in school. As well as providing support for teachers in the classroom environment, helping lessons run smoothly for all involved.

Candidate requirements:

  • A desire to work with young people and children
  • Transferable skills or first hand experience
  • An up-to-date DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Two References from your most recent employer

What the role involves:

  • Supporting pupils 1-2-1 and in small groups complete work that has been set by the class teacher
  • Support with English, Maths and Science catch up
  • Manage challenging behaviour
  • Be a role model for students and setting an example
  • Following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns

This role would be ideal for graduates or people looking to gain great first-hand experience before going onto teacher training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
