Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Temp to Perm
Primary School – Agency Position

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with special educational needs thrive in a nurturing, structured environment.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
• Implementing EHCP targets and adapting activities to individual needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support as required

Requirements:
• Experience working with SEN in a school or care setting
• Patience, empathy and a proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
