Are you dedicated to making a meaningful difference? Join an independent special school for students aged 11-16, renowned for our nurturing and inclusive environment—and we’re looking for committed Teaching Assistants to join our team this September.
At our school, you’ll support students who have faced challenges in mainstream education due to specific learning difficulties or communication needs, including autism. Your role will be vital in helping these young people flourish in a caring, holistic setting where they can learn, grow, and succeed.
All educators MUST have a driving licence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working 1:1 or within groups with children who have SEN
- Bonus skills: safeguarding training, Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach experience
- A heartfelt passion for working with SEN children
- Flexibility, proactivity, and a huge dose of patience
- Team spirit and strong communication skills
- Commitment to a full-time role—you’re here for the journey!
What You’ll Need:
- Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to obtain one)
- Overseas Criminal Check if applicable (if you’ve lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years)
- Full valid driving license
- An up-to-date CV detailing your experience
- Practical experience working directly with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
