SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted for Holistic Specialist School
Are you passionate about supporting autistic young people? We are seeking driven Teaching Assistants to support at an independent special school, known for providing a safe and supportive environment for students aged 11-16.
You will be supporting students who have faced challenges in mainstream education due to specific learning difficulties or communication and interaction challenges, including autism.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping these young people thrive in a holistic and caring environment where they can learn, grow, and succeed. If you're ready to make a real impact, we want to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working 1:1 or in classes with children with SEN
- Bonus points if you’re trained or have experience in safeguarding, Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach
- A genuine passion for working with SEN children
- Flexibility, proactivity, and an endless supply of patience
- A team player who communicates effectively with others
- Full-time commitment (you’re in it for the long haul!)
What You’ll Need:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)
- OCC if you’ve lived abroad for more than 6 months in the last 5 years
- An up-to-date CV with your full career history
- Hands-on experience working with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
