Job Advertisement: Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Newham Area

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in the vibrant Newham area. This role offers a chance to work with children who require additional support within an educational setting, making a real difference to their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with special needs, ensuring their individual educational requirements are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development, adapting teaching methods as required.
  • Help facilitate the inclusion of students with special needs into mainstream classroom activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with the school's staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and report any concerns to the relevant team members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient and understanding nature, with a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • A flexible approach to working within different educational settings and with varying needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are advantageous.

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from £80 to £95 per day, dependent on qualifications and experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
