Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – NE3, Newcastle

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the NE3 area of Newcastle. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with a range of additional needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: After May half term (Monday 1st June)
  • Location: NE3, Newcastle
  • Pay: £92–£110 per day (depending on experience)

The Role:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of special educational needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver inclusive learning
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with additional needs
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Please note, the school may wish to meet candidates or arrange a trial day prior to the official start date.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
