About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive alternative education setting in New Milton.

This full-time role involves working with secondary-aged students (11 to 16) in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them engage positively with learning. Hours are 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start available.

What You Will Be Doing
• Supporting students during lessons and helping them stay motivated and engaged
• Building positive, professional relationships that encourage trust and resilience
• Assisting teachers with learning activities, preparation and classroom routines
• Promoting independence, self-esteem and positive behaviour
• Making each day in the classroom purposeful and rewarding

 

What We Need From You
• A minimum of six months’ experience in childcare or education, ideally supporting young people with additional needs
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the location is not well served by public transport
• Confidence, patience and the ability to remain calm in different situations
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
