SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a caring and committed Teaching assistant in to provide assistance in the classroom as well as to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with Special educational needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school in Market Harborough.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children to thrive both academically and emotionally and someone who can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
The role
- Provide 1:1 support tailored to the pupils individual needs three days a week
-Support learning, engagement and emotional regulation
-Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
-Encourage independance, confidence and positive behaviour
-Help create a safe and nurtering environment
The ideal candidate will
-Have experience working with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or similar)
-Be patient, empathetic and resilient
-Have strong communication and relationshnip building skills
-Be reliable, consistent and adaptable
- Hold or willing to obtain a valid enhanced DBS on the update server

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
