Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in East Midlands, Leicestershire, specifically in Market Harborough. The role is temporary and requires a commitment to work part-time hours in the Education and Training sector. The ideal candidate will have experience working in primary schools and special education. You will be working with SEN students in primary schools, adapting teaching support to meet individual student needs, and ensuring the physical, social, and emotional welfare of the children. Engaging with students and understanding their needs is a key part of this role.
Job Duties:
- Supporting SEN students in primary schools
- Adapting teaching support to students' needs
- Adhering to children's physical, social, and emotional welfare
- Engaging with children in curricular activities
Required Qualifications:
- GCSE English
- GCSE Maths
Experience:
Previous experience working in primary schools and special education
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEN support strategies, ability to adapt teaching methods, strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications in Special Education or relevant field
Driver's Licence and own transport
Working Conditions:
Part-time hours, temporary position in primary schools in East Midlands, Leicestershire. Flexibility and ability to travel to different school locations may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
