SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN support assistant – Full time | South manchester | Supply Basis

Teaching Personnel are partnering with welcoming primary schools in South Manchester to find dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistants. The roles are full-time positions and for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in young learner’s life.

You’ll be joining collaborative, welcoming teams that values the vital role support staff play in pupil development.

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
• Supporting the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor progress
• Adapting support strategies to meet evolving pupil needs

What you’ll need:

• Have a DBS or willing to get one.
• Positive hard working attitude
• Experience or passion for supporting SEN pupils
• Experience working within SEND/youth support/ sports coaching or pastoral support (preferred but not essential).
• Team Teach or equivalent trained (preferred but not essential).
• Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)
