Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Location: Various schools across Manchester

Are you a recent graduate looking to begin a rewarding career in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across specialist SEN schools in the Manchester area, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, learning delays and social/communication challenges. This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to careers in teaching, psychology, mental health or youth work.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assist with learning activities, interventions and classroom support
  • Help pupils with communication, confidence and emotional regulation
  • Build positive relationships and encourage pupil engagement
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
  • Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences and Education
  • Enthusiastic, patient and proactive
  • Passion for working with children and young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Full-time availability & willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
