SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Llandeilo
Hours: Flexible working, 8:30am–3:30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Age Range: 11–19 years


About the Role

We are looking for a committed and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant you will help create a positive, inclusive environment for learners with ASD, supporting them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for learners with ASD
  • Assist the class teacher by delivering adapted lesson support that meets individual needs and learning styles
  • Encourage pupils to stay engaged, motivated and confident throughout lessons
  • Contribute to a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment
  • Be available for flexible, on-the-day cover where required

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working within SEN settings (ASD experience desirable
  • Flexible and reliable work availability
  • A compassionate, positive and proactive personality – someone who takes initiative and supports the team without needing prompting
  • A strong minded individual able to adapt to changing behaviour
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow teacher guidance
  •  A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Hold a valid UK driving license

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
