SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Temp to Perm Opportunity
A specialist primary school is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 2–11 with complex learning needs. All children attending the school have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in place.
This is a full-time role with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupils with:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
Support will be provided in both group and one-to-one settings, with a focus on promoting independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning plans
- Supporting pupils with personal care and sensory needs
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Encouraging communication and social interaction
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children with PMLD, SLD, or ASC
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant SEN training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
