SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS8

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry:

Salary:

£85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to individual pupils or small groups with special educational needs
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and track progress of SEN pupils
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Understanding of relevant policies and procedures

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
