Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work within mainstream primary schools across South Manchester? We are currently recruiting dedicated SEN TAs to support pupils with additional needs in welcoming primary schools based in Hulme (M15) and the surrounding areas.
This role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, and SEMH requirements. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes within a mainstream classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and social development.
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Managing behaviour positively and implementing support strategies.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
