SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Hayle
Salary: £89.38–£95 per day
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
Start Date: January 2026

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in Hayle, working closely with children in Years 1 and 2. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and inclusive environment.

This role allows you to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development while working alongside an experienced KS1 teaching team.

Role Responsibilities:

ü  Providing focused 1:1 support to pupils with additional educational and behavioural needs

ü  Working directly with children in Year 1 and Year 2

ü  Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities

ü  Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

ü  Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional well-being

ü  Offering individual or small-group support as required

What We’re Looking For:

ü  Experience working with KS1 pupils, ideally within Year 2

ü  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

ü  Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)

ü  A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one)
