Locations: Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire
Start Date: September 2025
Key Stages: 1 – 4
Daily Rate: £89 – £100

Teaching Personnel is now recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistants for the 2025/2026 academic year to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). These students may face challenges such as mental health issues, physical disabilities, or emotional and behavioural difficulties. A compassionate and understanding approach is essential to thrive in this role.

You'll be working with students aged 5 to 16, making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

Role Overview:

  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Location: Bath, Bristol and Gloucestershire
  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary slightly by school)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, term-time only
  • Progression: Potential to move into a permanent role for suitable candidates

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, either one-to-one or in small groups
  • Collaborate with fellow teaching assistants to deliver effective learning support
  • Assist the teacher in delivering a curriculum adapted to the students’ needs
  • Help implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Build supportive, trusting relationships to help students feel secure and confident
  • Offer hands-on support with classwork and activities as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience with SEN or challenging behaviour is beneficial but not essential
  • A strong passion for education and supporting young people
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Adaptability and a student-focused mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
