We are on the hunt for our next group of teaching assistants to support and nurture a nursery class of students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). These can include students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ADD, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and communication challenges. A patient and empathetic personality is key in this role.
Position Details:
• Start – Immediate, continuing through to the end of the academic year
• Hours – 8:30am – 3:30pm, ideal for work-life balance
• Location – Gloucestershire
• On-site parking available
What you’ll do:
• Support classroom teaching in delivering the curriculum, either in small groups or one-to-one
• Work in a small classroom of 8-10 students with other teaching assistants, supporting their learning and development
• Build trusting relationships with the students, encouraging them to thrive and be themselves
• Build professional relationships with classroom staff and the wider school faculty
Who are we looking for?
• Someone with a passion for working with children and looking to start or continue a career in education
• Strong behavioural management and communication skills
• Experience (professional or personal) with SEN or behavioural difficulties is desirable, but not essential
• A resilient mindset, along with dedication and determination, is essential
