Teaching Personnel are pleased to be supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Fleetwood who are seeking a Skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEN team after February half term.

About the Role:

This position is based within the school’s SEN hub, working closely with specialist staff to support pupils with a range of identified needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting SEN hub staff with teaching & learning activities.
• Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm, structured environment.
• Providing targeted support to children and young people with additional needs.
• Offering 1:1 and small‑group assistance where required.
• Helping to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning setting.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential).
• Be resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
• Be able to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
