The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting Learning: Assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring that all learners can access the curriculum effectively.
• Classroom Management: Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment by managing student behaviour and reinforcing school policies.
• Individualised Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
• Resource Preparation: Assist with preparing classroom materials, setting up activities, and organising resources to support effective teaching and learning.
• Monitoring Progress: Help track and document students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments.
• Promoting Positive Relationships: Build strong, supportive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, and record-keeping to support the smooth running of the school.

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for education and a desire to help students succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting is preferred.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills and the ability to use educational software and technology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
