Job description

Experienced Teaching Assistants Required – Cranborne, Wimborne, Dorset

  • Specialist Further Education College
  • Full-Time | ASAP Start (Subject to Vetting)

Teaching Personnel are an education-based agency working with SEN provisions across the Dorset area. We are currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support a specialist further education college that provides both day and residential support for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting students aged 16–25 with complex needs
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting with personalised learning and behaviour strategies
  • Promoting independence and emotional wellbeing
  • To start ASAP (subject to vetting)
  • 8:30-4:30, Monday-Friday

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within SEN, ideally ASC and/or SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Pay: £22,996 to £25,068 (Actual annual salary, dependent on experience and qualifications)

Hourly Rate: £12.87 to £14.03 p/hr.

These are full-time roles with an immediate start, subject to vetting and compliance checks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
