We are looking for creative, resilient and passionate Teaching assistants to work in one of our schools in the Cheadle area. This school supports young people from the ages of 3-19 so there is a wide variety. This is a SEN School so you would be supporting young people who have severe/profound learning disabilities (SLD/PMLD), Autism, severe hearing and sight loss and some physical needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to inclusive education and wants to play a vital role in supporting young people.

As a Teaching Assistant you will

Support the class team in creating a creative, happy and safe learning environment

Build strong rapport with not only the young people but their families as well

To integrate a holistic approach into role

Understand and respond to students’ communication and support needs

Deliver individual learning interventions and support student progress

Promote positive behaviour and supervise students during lessons, lunch and break times

You will be a great fit if you

Have experience supporting young people and/or adults who have complex needs

Are confident, resilient and energetic

Have strong communication and relationship building skills

Are a team player

Can adapt to new challenges with enthusiasm

Thrive in a fast-paced environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
