SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)

Salary: £11.85/ hour- £13.95/ hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Castleford, WF10. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
• Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
• Support students with various SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
• Foster students' independence and encourage their social and emotional development.
• Assist with behavior management and intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support plans.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in SEN support or education are an advantage.
• A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with SEN.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in the classroom.
