SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Castleford, WF10
Salary: £11.85/ hour- £13.95/ hour
Type: Temporary contract: Part-Time (Exact hours to be discussed)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Castleford, WF10. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
- Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
- Support students with various SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Foster students' independence and encourage their social and emotional development.
- Assist with behavior management and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or education are an advantage.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
