Level 2 Teaching Assistant – SEN
Daily Rate: £92.63 - £108 (PAYE)

We are currently supporting a modern and growing specialist provision in their search for a compassionate and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This setting supports children and young people aged 4–19 with severe Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school offers a purpose-built, state-of-the-art environment designed to meet a wide range of complex needs and create meaningful, engaging learning experiences.

The provision is values-led, with a strong focus on helping learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive beyond education. Staff work collaboratively to deliver a personalised, holistic curriculum, ensuring each pupil’s EHCP is at the centre of their learning journey. Alongside academic development, there is a strong emphasis on communication, emotional regulation, and life skills.

The role:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, tailored learning activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs
  • Promote communication, independence, and social development
  • Assist with personal care where required
  • Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have experience supporting children with SEN/SEND, particularly complex needs or PMLD (desirable)
  • Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable in their approach
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their full potential
  • Be committed to creating a positive and enriching learning experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
