I am working closely with a fantastic SEN School based in Cambridgeshire that can offer immediate work, and temporary to permanent contracts.

Catering for children with a range of complex needs from age 3 to 19, this outstanding school is a part of a well-established trust, who are continuously investing in the development of the school.

The school is situated within a state-of-the-art building, that boasts a range of excellent facilities that the children love! These include the hydro pool, sensory room, and soft play area.

Not only do the school care about the development of their students, but they also care about the development of their staff too. You will be assigned a mentor on your first day, who will check in weekly with yourself whilst you settle into the school and undergo various training with the aim to eventually enrol you as a permanent member of staff within their school.

About you:

We are looking for individuals that either have classroom experience, SEN experience on a professional or personal level, individuals that come from similar industries (e.g., the care sector), or anyone aspiring to work within a SEN school.

About the role:

Tasks as a SEN Teaching assistant include but are not limited to:

-          Assisting the Teacher with managing the classroom.

-          Providing 1:1 support or supporting small groups of SEN individuals.

-          Encouraging the students to try their best in lessons.

-          Personal care maybe required.

The role would be 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, with weekends and holidays off.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
